WASHINGTON - The House committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol has reached an agreement with Mark Meadows, the final White House chief of staff under President Donald J. Trump. Under the agreement, Meadows will testify and provide documents to the committee.

Meadows' cooperation with the committee is a significant development in the investigation. He was a close advisor to Trump and was present in the White House during the events leading up to and on January 6, 2021.

The House committee has been investigating the attack on the Capitol for months. The committee has already interviewed hundreds of witnesses and obtained thousands of documents. The agreement with Meadows will provide the committee with additional information and help to clarify what happened on January 6.
