Brad Treliving: Former Flames GM now Maple Leafs' 18th general manager

Brad Treliving was officially named the Toronto Maple Leafs' 18th general manager on Tuesday, July 12, 2023.
Treliving has been in the NHL for over 30 years as both a player and an executive.
He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the fourth round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft and went on to play 12 seasons in the NHL with the Flames, New York Islanders, and Hartford Whalers.
Treliving's tenure with the Flames saw considerable success
After retiring as a player in 2001, Treliving joined the Flames' front office and eventually became the team's general manager in 2014. During Treliving's tenure, the Flames went 362-265-73 in the regular season and made the playoffs eight times, including a run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2019.
